About Me
Stacey Morvitz, LCSW
Eating Disorder, Body Image, and Perfectionism Therapist
I became a therapist because I’ve witnessed how powerful it is when someone finally is understood, supported, and free from the patterns that once felt impossible to change.
For years, I’ve worked in outpatient and inpatient eating disorder and addiction centers alongside doctors and dietitians. I’ve seen how overwhelming it can feel when food, body thoughts, or the pressure to be perfect takes over someone’s life. And I’ve seen what happens when people get real support: space opens up, relationships deepen, and life becomes fuller.
I work from a holistic, relational lens, considering all the layers that shape eating disorders, addictions, and other struggles—your mind, your body, your relationships, and the world you move through. In therapy, I aim to create a space where you feel understood, can explore what’s been keeping you stuck, and build the confidence and skills that support a more connected, meaningful life.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I meet you where you are, and we move forward together.
Availability: I work with clients virtually in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

What Sessions Feel Like
Just the fact that you're here means you know something needs to shift. That can feel scary, but staying stuck probably isn’t working either.
My sessions are down-to-earth and supportive. Together, we’ll look at the patterns shaping your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. We’ll build tools for regulation, create space for your needs, and slowly move you toward the life you want.
Clients tell me they feel relief in finally being able to talk honestly without worrying about judgment or pressure to perform. Therapy is a place where you get to be real, not perfect.
Outside of Therapy
When I’m not in therapist mode, you can find me reading, watching TV, or hanging out with my two dogs (who, let’s be honest, probably think they’re the real therapists).
