People-Pleasing & Perfectionism Therapy
With Stacey Morvitz, LCSW
I help people set boundaries, understand what they want, and be confident because I know how scary it feels to ask for what you want, or stop saying yes.
Do you say yes even when you’re tired?
Do you feel like nothing you do is good enough?
Are you constantly thinking about what others need instead of what you want?
You don’t have to keep living for everyone else. I can support you in building the confidence and skills to honor your own needs.
Clients Come to Me When They’re
Overcommitted
Burnt out
Unsure what they want
Struggling to say no
Feeling not enough
Afraid of conflict
Please note, I only work with adults 18+
Perfectionism and people-pleasing often develop as ways to avoid conflict, earn approval, or keep the peace.
Over time, these patterns take over and leave very little room for you.
How I Approach Therapy for People-Pleasing & Perfectionism
No one treatment approach looks the same for everyone. We’ll start by understanding how these patterns formed and what purpose they served.
Together, we’ll learn how to set boundaries without fear, communicate clearly, and make decisions based on what you want, not what others expect.
Modalities I Use in Therapy
-
Explores the roots of people-pleasing and perfectionism, helping you understand how earlier experiences shaped your patterns today.
-
Builds skills for communication, emotional regulation, and setting boundaries in clear, respectful ways.
-
Helps you connect with your values so your decisions reflect your priorities instead of pressure or fear.
-
Shifts rigid beliefs like “I can’t disappoint anyone” or “If it’s not perfect, it doesn’t count.”
You don’t have to lose relationships by saying no. Instead, you will be able to show up with more honesty and less worry.
Say Yes To Yourself
Therapy with me isn’t about becoming selfish, it’s about feeling grounded, confident, and present in your own life.
After Working With Me, Clients Report
More confidence
Clarity about needs
Comfort saying no
Better communication
More time + energy
Stronger relationships
Less pressure to be perfect
Feeling at ease
Feeling good enough
In our sessions, you’ll build a life that reflects your wants, not everyone else’s.
